So Where Did I Decide To Move?

Hey guys welcome back

If you missed my last post, you can check it out by clicking here.

I talked about how I am a kid from Michigan who was about to make a major change in his life.

So where did I decide to move to?

Well right before graduating from High School, my parents asked me if I wanted a graduation party, or if I wanted to take a trip somewhere.

Being the adventurous guy that I am, I chose the trip. They basically told me that all the money that they were going to use for the party, I could use for an all expense trip pretty much anywhere I wanted to go.

Every since I was small, or at least to stay up and dream about traveling to places, I have always wanted to go to New York. I mean, come on, it’s the BIG APPLE.

So that is where I decided to go. Once I made my decision, my parents then told me that I could take one person with me. I have a couple close friends that I went to school with, but…

I’m pretty close with one of my uncles who was 25 at the time, so I decided to go with him.

My parents were obviously cool with it since he is older, so it worked out perfectly.

I was already tired of the cold weather here in Michigan, so I decided to go right after graduation and catch some of the warmer weather in NY.

We picked Mid June.

Everything about my trip was perfect. Obviously being my first time there, I wanted to do everything.

Sidenote: You will NEVER see everything in New York in one trip*

But, we sure did try. On our list of things to do and see was…

The Empire State Building

The Statue of Liberty

The Museum of Modern Art

and on the sports end of things, we caught a Yankee game!

That to go with all the delicious food we ate made every single day we spent in the city amazing.

When the trip was over, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I loved the fast paced atmosphere. I felt so energized walking around in the hustle of the city.

So, when I got back home. I set out my plan. work my butt off for 3 years, and then move to New York. Well it’s been a little over 3 years…

I moved here to NYC couple months ago, and my goodness has it been an experience.

Tomorrow I will be talking about some of the experiences I have had so far.
